Jacqueline Ganim-DeFalco is a business growth specialist who built her professional foundation for seventeen years with NYNEX and GTE. Since 1998, Jacqueline has provided marketing and business development services to executive teams in the service and technology fields. As a Business Advisor, Jacqueline assists companies seeking to grow through the development of new markets, products, and channels – and building the associated marketing programs to launch these initiatives. Jacqueline has branded her company MarketingRecon to represent the methodology she uses to assist her clients in making informed market development and growth decisions. Jacqueline has provided business development and marketing services for enterprises involved in over twenty vertical industries. Her clients include entrepreneurs, mid-cap, and enterprise companies such as Circles, WebCT, Wimba (now both Blackboard), Demandware, North Bridge Venture Partners, and Iron Mountain. She has also partnered with Jim Masciarelli of PowerSkills on various VIP relationship management programs for the Bank of Rome and JDSU.
Jacqueline’s BTB marketing toolkit includes work in Best Practices, Value Proposition development and testing, Partner and Channel programs, thought leadership programs, specifically in Open Source Software and Cloud Computing, Customer Reference Programs, and Customer Advisory Boards. She is a strong proponent of creating and leveraging partners across the spectrum to achieve business objectives.
Jacqueline has a BA from Emory University, an MBA in International Business/Marketing from Stern (NYU) and also completed the International Management Program at the University of International Business and Economics in Bejing, China (1987). Among her career highlights, she launched NYNEX’s new business development framework in 1983, served as NYNEX’s Managing Director in Asia from 1988-90, directed NYNEX Yellow Pages award winning $25M integrated advertising campaign, and led internet marketing and partnerships in the early days of the World Wide Web. She led the GTE Interactive Business Marketing group for two years before forming her own advisory practice.
A native of Buffalo, NY, Jacqueline moved to Cape Ann from New York City in 1993 and resides in Gloucester with her husband Michael. She has served on local community boards including the Cape Ann YMCA and is the Chair of the Society for the Encouragement of the Arts. On both boards, she has been the catalyst for Board Development and transformation. She enjoys and active life in the community through golf, tennis, kayaking, clamming, and the Gloucester Gourmet Club. She has a second business as a jewelry artist found at CapeAnnDesigns and a juried member of the Cape Ann Artisans. Her work is featured in C.S. Lambert’s Passion for Sea Glass.
