What does it take to let imagination take the lead? It starts with a formula.
It’s a bit complex mathematically but if you close your eyes, you can calculate a “FutureNow” by adding thoughts, emotions, vision-desire, and intention. That’s how Kip Hollister kicked off her latest discussion in support of the transformation she believes must happen in the workplace.
In her lunchtime dialogue, she created a safe-zone for every attendee to share their challenges of moving forward – helping close the gap between the reality facing everyone and the possibilities we can proactively create.
Remember the state of euphoria you had as a child without boundaries and obstacles. That’s one of the ways we can reconnect with our imagination. Starting with this tabula rasa is a first and necessary step toward making room for our sixth sense to guide us to a better future. Kip leads by saying that “imagination is a thought projected into the future beyond our sixth sense. “ She encouraged each person to close the gap between thoughts and emotions using a strong example from her own past to show how being excited to launch her business could have been squelched by losing an important investor. She let the enthusiasm flourish and the rest is history.
Kip also presented a powerful graph called the “Emotional Scale” that demonstrated low frequency energy is associated with negative emotions. Our goal is to move up this scale, even if we have to sit out the negative thoughts for enough time to let them run through us – fitting image for our current climate.
For those who were fully engaged in this discussion, each is now empowered to transfer this good energy into their daily routines at home and work. However, it’s a journey that each person needs to approach step by step. Kip will lead a full day session in October on this very topic! See details here.
